Timi’s POV

I first noticed Deborah in fellowship — not because of a conversation, but because of a presence. She was quiet, composed, observant… and somehow, impossible to overlook. I remember the first tune she introduced herself in the room saying she was from Egba Diocese. I thought: “Interesting. We might have a few things in common. I had no idea that would be the understatement of my life. That one night after a missions prayer meeting, when we spoke for over an hour and it felt like five minutes. I walked away thinking: “I want to know her more. I think God placed her in my path. And now? I can’t imagine a better story, a better partner, or a better gift.

Debbie’s POV

Before I got into OAU, I had prayed for a loyal friend, someone who would stay close like family, and God answered in the most unexpected way. It wasn’t until the end of my first semester on campus, during a prayer meeting that things shifted. After the meeting, Timi walked up to me and we talked for over an hour. For someone naturally reserved, it surprised me how effortless the connection felt. From that day, a beautiful friendship began. At first, it was just shared assignments in fellowship and mission planning. But that day he spoke to me after prayers? Ah. My heart already whispered to me: “E be like say this one na your person oo.” 🤭

Our Love Story

Ours has been a story of grace & growth. We moved from shy introductions to unshakable friendship, from mission planning partners to prayer partners, from best friends to chosen forever. We’ve had Joyful seasons that felt like answered prayers, Hard seasons that tested us but shaped us teaching us patience, communication, faith, and gentle reassurances that love isn’t just found — it’s built. Through it all, God kept us, grew us, and led us into a love that feels new every day. Through it all, God kept us, grew us, and led us into a love that feels new every day. Now we step into our biggest chapter yet — marriage, our season of Newness.
